Community spirit reaches a fevered pitch on Fall Friday nights as virtually the entire town turns out to cheer for the class 3A, division 3 Water Valley Blue Devils. Football is a serious game here, as regional teams are fierce rivals. Other high school sports include baseball, basketball, track, and volleyball.
Water Valley boasts a competitive summer sports league for youth aged 3 through 14. Tournaments are held frequently at the ballpark. The summer baseball/softball season at Crawford Sports Complex hosts some 450 youth, 30 teams, and a host of volunteer coaches and staff. Teams are sponsored by area businesses.

Turnage Drug Store, a family-owned pharmacy since 1905, includes its original soda fountain, an eclectic gift shop, top notch pharmacist and the friendliest family service you'll find anywhere.
The annual two-day Water Valley WATERMELON Carnival happens the first weekend of August and attracts over 20,000 visitors every year to the carnival, music, activities, barbecue contests, car show and craft booths, .
Our annual Street Dance, happens the Friday night of the Watermelon Carnival drawing crowds to City Park and ending with a fireworks show.
Christmas in the Valley is an annual holiday celebration complete with parade, carriage rides, carolers and much more!
